For the second year running, the awards ceremony will be hosted by BBC London’s Asad Ahmad. 

Asad Ahmad

Asad Ahmad was born and raised in London. He joined the BBC in 1996 and started his award-winning broadcasting career as a political reporter and presenter at BBC Birmingham. He moved to BBC Scotland before returning to London to join the BBC news team. Ahmad is an ambassador for the Prince of Wales’s Mosaic charity and his British Asian Trust.

Entertainment will be provided on the night by the renowned Nasheed artist, Jennifer Grout and comedian, Jeremy McLellan.

Jennifer Grout

Jennifer Grout is an American singer who first became known for her performances on MBC’s ‘Arabs Got Talent’ where she sang pieces in Arabic by  Oum Kalthoum and Asmahan, making it to the finals in 2013. She has since performed throughout the world and has gained international renown for her Qur’anic recitation and Nasheed singing. 

Jeremy McLellan

Jeremy McLellan is an American stand-up comedian. Born a Presbyterian, he converted to Catholicism and has become popular with Muslim audiences. In 2017 he performed six sold-out shows on a tour of Pakistan.
