Terms and Conditions for Entry 

  1. There is no charge to nominate.  
  1. You may enter either 1 or both of the new categories.  
  1. Nominations close  Monday 11th December 2023.  
  1. The competition is open to all UK-based businesses, with a connection to the Muslim community  
  1. Nominations can be submitted from the company itself or by a third party, so long as the application is completed fully and accurately, and the business or person nominated is aware of the entry and has corroborated the content in the application form.  
  1. Information provided should be relevant to the company’s activities since 2022.  
  1. All entries must be submitted online.  
  1. Incomplete entries will not be judged.  
  1. No liability for entries lost or delayed will be accepted. You will receive confirmation of receipt of your online application by email, immediately or within a few hours. If you do not receive this confirmation, please email us at awards@islamchannel.tv.  
  1. A sponsor cannot enter an award in the category that they are sponsoring.  
  1. Entries will be judged by a panel of judges brought together by Islam Channel. Guidelines and a scoring matrix are provided to the judges to ensure the process is fair.  
  1. The judges will review the nominations and interview the finalists. They will decide the winners based on the written submissions and interview.    
  1. Shortlisted finalists will be announced via the website and by email and they will be informed of the final judging dates.  
  1. The judging panel’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.  
  1. Winners will be announced on the evening of the ceremony.  
  1. Winners will be published on the website after the ceremony.  
  1. The organisers reserve the right to disqualify an entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe that an entrant has breached any of the rules, any applicable law (eg any copyright law) or has otherwise infringed the intellectual property of any third party.  
  1. The organisers reserve the right to change the judging deadlines should circumstances necessitate.  
  1. By entering the competition, applicants agree that their data will be held on the Islam Channel database and website.  

RULES OF AWARDS

  • In December 2023 the judging panel will review the nominations and shortlist the finalists for each category.
  • Entries will be judged by a panel of judges brought together by Islam Channel.
  • Guidelines and a scoring matrix are provided to the judges to ensure the process is fair.  
  • Each entry will be studied by a min of two judges.
  • Shortlisted finalist will be announced on Friday 15th December 2023 via the website and emails. Finalists will be informed of the final judging dates.  
  • The judging panel’s decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.  
  • Once an entrant has been announced as a finalist, it cannot withdraw from the process.
  • Promotional material will be provided to all finalists to publicize.
  • All finalists must agree to take part in publicity.
  • The judges will interview all the finalists in January 2024. They will decide the winners based on the written submissions, interview, and questions.
  • A minimum of 1 representative from each finalist will be required to attend the Grand Final evening.
  • Winners will be announced only on the evening of the ceremony.
  • Winners will be published on the website after the ceremony and will be publicized on social media.
  • Winners agree to participate in post event publicity if requested to do so.
  • Should for any reason the event be postponed, your entry will still be valid and will be carried through to the appropriate date.
